Welcome to Raven Hall Therapy. I’m Mike Peyton. I am licensed in both Michigan and Utah as a Mental Health Therapist. I attended Michigan State University where I got my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am grateful and committed to my career of helping people unravel many of life’s difficulties. I excel at EMDR which is a very effective trauma intervention. It is used to address diagnoses like anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD and others because so often those conditions are rooted in a history of some kind of traumatic experience.
When working with me you will see that I am compassionate and confident in the subjects we discuss. You will feel the safety that my non-judgmental acceptance of you as a person brings. I have many years of experience working with individuals and relationships. I know what I am talking about and I have a lot to share with you as we exchange ideas, feelings and needs for your health. Let’s talk.
I offer individual, couples, and family therapy using solutions-based approaches tailored to your needs. I specialize in EMDR, CBT, Relationship Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy. For more details see "Learn More About My Specialties" above.
I help treat trauma and PTSD, anxiety, family conflict and issues, ADHD, anger management, behavioral issues, coping skills, depression, drug abuse, grief, obsessive-compulsive (OCD), relationship issues, self-harming, and more.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Michigan State University (1991). I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in both Utah and Michigan. I have been a certified EMDR Therapist since 2019. I am a member of the Utah Association Marriage and Family Therapy, Michigan Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and the EMDR International Association.
I am currently accepting new clients. I offer online sessions only. After an initial phone visit, we'll use a confidential video link for further sessions. I am available most weekdays — major holidays excluded of course. Call for a free 15-minute introduction so let's talk soon (435) 491-0132
We can discuss fees and payment options through third party payers like insurance companies or your Bishop. My standard rate is $140.00 per session with a reduced rate of $100.00 for church related funding. In the case of financial need, I will waive co-payment as long as the insurance company is covering the main cost of treatment.
Yes, I work with several major providers in both Utah and Michigan such as: Molina; Medicaid; Medicare; BCBS; United Health Care; Select Health Care; Public Employee Health Plan; Meridian; as well as many others. If you work with a particular insurance company that I'm not currently associated with, we can look into to becoming added as a provider.
I can work with you. I accept checks, Paypal, and Venmo. Direct pay is available through a trusted third-party billing service, and rates are always negotiable.
You can request a consultation through this website or call me directly, Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm Mountain Time. I aim to respond within 24 hours. (435) 491-0132

"Exactly a year ago, I came to Mike Peyton for therapy. I was going through a period of complicated emotional struggle, anxious, depressed and, as I know now on the verge of an enormous mental health crisis. After a year of therapy with Mike, my anxiety, obsessive compulsive behaviors and depression have diminished dramatically. I feel more balanced, spiritually open and simply happier than I ever have... While Mike uses standard techniques like talk therapy and EMDR, he filters these techniques through a lens of wisdom gained from life experience, and a deep, sincere and mature spiritual perspective. It is with the utmost gratitude and respect that I recommend Mike Peyton as a clinical therapist to those in crisis, or those simply seeking a deeper, more balanced understanding of their inner self."
– Bill C."Mike has been my counselor for over a year and has helped me change my life in tremendous ways. My husband and I began seeing him for marriage counseling and then I continued for myself. His calm, compassionate, honest, and practical approach was so helpful for our marriage and with my own anxiety. His willingness to include family members in the counseling process expanded my healing (and theirs) even further. I would absolutely recommend anyone to Mike for counseling."
– Christina W."I had anxiety, anger and depression for years. My wife told me to go to a therapist and I finally did. Mike has helped me feel comfortable talking about my issues. He is understanding and really cares about what is going on in my life. I did not think therapy was going to make a difference but the work I have done here is really amazing. I feel better. I am more in control. Thanks Mike!"
– Jared D."I came to Mike for help with my depression and grief over my husband’s suicide last year. It has been scary and painful to live without him and I blamed myself. Mike taught me about EMDR and it has really changed everything. I am still sad sometimes but I am not frozen in my feelings anymore. I don’t know really how it works but I know it does work! I recommend EMDR to anyone and I recommend Mike because of his knowledge and caring."
